New Parish Office Opening Hours

The Vestry met on 25 June 2019 and one of the items on the agenda was to discuss the report on the Administration Review conducted recently. The report was extensive with many recommendations which the Parish Office team are working through.

One prominent feature of the report was a concern regarding the number of interruptions that Parish Office staff experience in the course of their work day. This often leads to staff working many unpaid hours in order to complete the work required. To address this, Vestry approved an amendment to the opening hours of the Parish Office. Our new hours will be: Tuesday – Friday 9am-12pm, effective 1 July 2019. If you are in the office during these hours it would be appreciated if conversations could be brief. We encourage parishioners to phone or email rather than pop in if this is possible. If you phone and no-one answers, please leave a message on the answerphone as the staff check it daily. If you come to the church and the church doors are locked please ring the doorbell on the west facing door. Staff will let you in if they are onsite. However, please remember that if there are staff in the Parish Office outside of the opening times they are working on required tasks and it would be appreciated if they were not interrupted for any longer than to open the door for you.

We appreciate how the Parish Office staff make the office a warm and welcoming space for parishioners and wish for this to continue, balanced with a commitment to allow time for staff to complete essential administration tasks.
